A tree that fell into the river Yare a few weeks ago but could only be partially removed until water levels subsided, has been removed today.

The river channel is fully open and there is a small section of the stump still attached to the bank which is marked by yellow posts.

Due to power supply issues, we regret to inform boaters that it is not possible to use the electric charging posts at our Yacht Station at Reedham.

Our energy suppliers are working to re-connect the electricity supply.

The Coarse Fish Close Season is now in force until 15 June inclusive, on rivers, streams, drains and the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads.

Our officers will be out with partner agencies and organisations during this time enforcing the closed season.

From midnight tonight you cannot fish on open waters as the traditional closed season starts making it illegal to fish until the 16th of June in nearly all our rivers and open waters. Enclosed waters often have different rules so please check before fishing. #ClosedSeason

The Marine Team patrolled from Horning to Ranworth today. They had a special treat of seeing the Wherry and meeting the crew at Ranworth Broad.
The flood water is still high but receding, watch out for those hidden objects under the water line.

A joint patrol with our partners from Border Force today led us to Maldon, Heybridge, West Mersea and Brightlingsea.

Please note that there is currently a sunken vessel in the River Yare near the Berney Arms. Rangers are aware, the hazard is clearly visible to other river users and has been marked with yellow buoys.

There is enough room for vessels to navigate by but please exercise caution.

Sarah and Graham were out on the RHIB again yesterday & were able to get under Wroxham bridge to head towards Coltishall, there they engaged with boat users & waterside establishments. It was great to see the 'Queen of the Broads' out on the water too.
