This week, I joined a panel on wrongful convictions hosted by LIHBAorg and Suffolk County Bar Association with the Chief of my Conviction Review Unit Charlie Linehan and exonerees Emel McDowell and David McCallum. We discussed the scope of post-conviction justice, from review to restoration.
This week, I visited SUNY Old Westbury to meet with students to discuss the importance of criminal justice reform—and how they can make an impact.
As we mark the 20th anniversary of #ImmigrantHeritageWeek , we celebrate the diverse neighborhoods and immigrant communities across Brooklyn.
We also commemorate the 117th anniversary of the day on which the largest number of immigrants in city history arrived at Ellis Island.
