Exciting day at Simpson College for CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit and many local agencies who participated in the College Options KinderCollege event. It was so much fun talking with the students and hopefully inspiring them to dream big about their futures.

This week, CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit had the honor of attending the 'Heroes Honoring Heroes' event. We joined first responders from local agencies to express our gratitude to our Veterans for their service in defending our freedoms. It was an amazing event!

Engines from CAL FIRE Shasta-Trinity Unit and the Redding Fire Department have responded to a fully involved residential structure fire on the 16000 block of Powerline Road in Centerville. Firefighters are currently on scene and will be completing the mop-up for the next 2 hours.

Redding/Weaverville - CAL FIRE, Shasta-Trinity Unit, will be requiring burn permits for residential dooryard burning beginning at 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Burn permits can only obtained online at: burnpermit.fire.ca.gov

This week, Firefighters, personnel, and Captain Cal represented along with several other agencies at the annual KIXE, Week of the Young Child. This is a great event to meet our local families and support our great community.

The Shasta Arson Task Force is hosting a specialized fire investigation course this week, featuring live fire training. Today, Smoke will be visible near the City of Shasta Lake between 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Please do not be alarmed; there is no need to report.

Redding, CA- On Friday, March 22, 2024, the Millville Fire Protection District requested assistance from CAL FIRE SHU/Shasta County Fire Department and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation of a structure fire near Millville Plains Rd. and Sprig Way, Millville.

Redding – Starting on Thursday, March 21, 2024, CAL FIRE Shasta Trinity Unit will be assisting THE MCCONNELL FOUNDATION with an ongoing Vegetation Management Project on Gore Ranch, west of Westwood Village, off Highway 273. This project aims to reduce approximately 1900 acres.
