Everyone who is angry about the narrative about voting that Speaker Johnson is pushing should read this excellent article by Michael Morse

It’s an excellent example of legal scholarship tackling a significant public problem

All I can access right now is the “for you” nonsense. My “following” tab simply won’t load.

Hard to know if that’s because the site is trying to make me read the dreck that the algorithm recommends or whether they’re just having a hard time keeping this site functional.

The FBI just released data showing that violent crime, including homicide, went down at a faster rate than any time in the last 40 years. The response in many quarters is that it can’t be true, but these same skeptics never question the data when the FBI reports crime is up.

Sometimes people misspell my name. Often they call me 'Clarissa,' and that misspelling has made it into a couple of law review articles that cite my work.

An article was just published calling me 'Cassandra Bryne Hessick'

I'm wondering how that made it through the cite check!

This article is as bad as the headline would suggest. Zero discussion of the root causes of crime. Just complaints about not enough arrests, not enough prosecutions, and any court decisions that favor defendants.

Someone is going to get killed because of this, and it’s going to be because some jackass with a gun decides to play hero for a corporation when he sees someone walk out with a $2 Red Bull.

This is how party members should respond when one of their own throws a hissyfit and claims an election was “rigged” just because they lost.

The number of people responding to this post saying “the FBI are not the police” is mind boggling.

The FBI is the federal police force.

A lot of people are responding with statistics showing that crime is down, but the article itself is far funnier.

'Ok technically it is one of the safest cities in America and yes I guess crime is declining'
