The Crimson Baseball team scored four first-inning runs and never trailed as the Crimson beat CPHS Baseball 12-4 Tuesday. Brody Berglin earned the win pitching for Maple Grove (6-6) while Preston Thielke took the loss for Champlin Park (7-4).

Champlin Park, Osseo Track & Field, and Maple Grove Track were among the track and field teams battling at the Section 4AAA True Team meet at Elk River High School Tuesday. Maple Grove’s girls placed third behind St. Michael-Albertville and Rogers.

Crimson Baseball Crimson Activities Nathan Schmidt
The Crimson Lacrosse Booster Club fell to Rogers in a tightly-contested game by a score of 12-11. The Crimson scored the first six goals of the game and led 6-1 after the first quarter. Rogers stormed back after halftime, outscoring Maple Grove 8-3 in the second half.

The Breck Athletics boys tennis team swept host Providence Academy 7-0 in an IMAC conference match Monday. The Mustangs improved to 5-4 with the win. Section play begins next week.

The Wayzata Trojans Baseball remained unbeaten on the season with a 6-2 win over Edina. The Wayzata Trojans scored three runs in the top of the second, two of which came from wild pitches thrown by the Hornets; the other was an RBI single from Kieran Leatherman.

The Maple Grove softball team scored single runs in the second, third and fourth innings to edge Armstrong 3-2 in Northwest Suburban Conference play. The Falcons scored both of their runs in the bottom of the seventh.
