Fascinating development out of Iceland. And bravo to the authorities there. A number of countries routinely violate their own laws when it comes to whales, as if they somehow don’t qualify as mammals. Let’s hope they follow through now!

The harm done to Iceland’s reputation far outweighs any supposed economic benefits. Whaling is an exceptionally stupid, environmentally expensive & morally indefensible way to contribute to your economy. Enough already.

This is one of the saddest images. A magnificent apex predator, king of the ocean, reduced to begging for food with their mouths open like baby birds waiting to be fed. The very essence of what these animals are has been stolen from them. How is this entertainment? SMH.
