Protesters and police just started pushing on either side of plastic barriers; police gained a few feet.

I am told that the interior of the main quad is entirely cleared of protesters. UCPD is stationed at each entrance. Protesters are locked arms, pressing forward.

A separate, typically credible source tells me police will try to break up the UChicago pro-Palestinian encampment late tonight.

He noted campus police & not CPD are expected to take the action. Similar messages have come in past nights, though no police raids have materialized.
