Exciting news from the Spey! This year we will be expanding our mink control project within the Cairngorms National Park in a bid to protect native wildlife. The Cairngorms are home to many rare and iconic Scottish species which are vulnerable to predation from American mink. 1/3

On Monday Minister Lorna Slater joined us at Rothiemurchus to help with the first of two beaver releases in the National Park.

This was a momentous day, and we’ll keep working with land managers to ensure the beavers have a positive impact on their surroundings.

Winter may be upon us but we are still catching mink! This adult male was caught last week just outside Grantown in Speyside. Controlling mink within the Cairngorms National Park will help to protect native wildlife from this invasive non-native predator.
