I’m relieved for low income Calgarians that the provincial government has reinstated their $6.2M share of funding for Low Income Transit Passes. This should have never been cut in the first place, hence a unanimous vote of Council yesterday slamming the initial defunding.

Council did not vote 'to allow non-citizens to cast ballots in civic elections.'
It's an advocacy effort. With no immediate effect on local elections.
