It pains me to be commenting again on waiting lists and reality some people cannot hold on that long. NSFT response is sketchy. No acknowledgement things are getting worse. How are they ‘prioritising need’ if over 4,000 assessments pending for over a year? edp24.co.uk/news/24259612.…

This will be the tip of iceberg. The deaths that trusts have recorded accurately. The gathering, categorising, analysis, reporting and use )to prevent deaths/improve care) of mortality data is a shambles in mental health. As we know from NSFT who were able to lose count of deaths

There is no such thing as “a sick note culture.” There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system, dire mental health services, and closed Sure Start centres.

The only surprise is that the staff survey results are not worse. I’ve listened from the outside to the accounts of the rapid improvements and did not believe it. Staff make it clear things are not improving. When will the PR machine start being honest?
