Today is National Doctor's Day! #nationaldoctorsday

I work with doctors every day, from FY1 to consultant, who go above and beyond and don't get half the recognition they deserve, so I'm going to shout about them! ❤️

This is an absolute must for all clinicians, especially those working in advance practice/extended/first contact roles. I learnt lots from looking through it and it’s an area to keep revisiting!

Newly qualified doctor salary
= £32,398 for 40 hours a week.
Divide by 52 weeks. Then by 40 hours is £15.57 an hour.

So £4.13 above the new minimum wage. Despite 6 years of medical school and circa £75,000 of debt.

The NICE guidelines for Osteoarthritis have changed…..
-Paracetamol is no longer suggested
-Exercise is now suggested as a first line treatment over medications
-The guidelines for corticosteroids and surgery are now clearer
