This is 100% accurate.
At the Ambassador Bridge Blockade I was assaulted multiple times by protestors in view of police who did nothing.

This is very well articulated and a sentiment I have been calling for from the start.

Enforce the laws as they are written.

If you ignore the small infractions, it emboldens protesters to take more aggressive actions.

'Heavy handed' sometimes means police violence but usually it means the police breakout their fun toys like StingRay devices, indiscriminately hoovering everyones cellphone data and contents in a given area.

Police should enforce the law to everyone instead of choosing when to do it at protests.
Stop turning a blind eye to criminal activity.
