Congrats Tushar Chavan (MH 2013), the first Indian Forest Service officer to become ‘Ironman’💐
The event, held at Astana, Kazakhstan on 2nd July included 4 km swim, 180 km cycling and a full marathon (42 km), in one go. Tushar finished it in 15 hrs out of 17 hrs race cutoff.

The Indian Forest Service ( Central) Association expresses its solidarity with Indian Civil and Administrative ( Central) Association for its resolution to secure justice for the family of Lt. Sh. G. Krishnaiah, IAS 1985 batch who was murdered while on duty in December 1994.

As I conclude a memorable visit to the Bandipur and Mudumalai Tiger Reserves, I want to acknowledge the hardwork of all forest officials, guards, tiger reserve frontline staff and everyone else working on tiger conservation. Words can’t do justice to their passion and effort.

Deeply saddened to learn that forest guard Shri Sundaresh lost his life in the line of duty, dousing the forest fire in Western Ghats of Karnataka.

May his family and friends find the strength to deal with the loss. May the departed green soldier rest in peace.
