It's great to have @CBJNewsroom share Charlotte’s journey to become one of the nation’s top public research universities. There are truly amazing things that are happening  – collectively and simultaneously – only at Charlotte.

We’re thankful to business leader and alumnus Dontá Wilson for his generosity, leadership and tireless support of his alma mater and our students. It was an honor to join him and his family on 4/9 Day as we officially named our newest residence hall in his honor.

We welcomed Congresswoman Alma Adams and her staff to campus recently. This was a chance for her to hear from faculty and students about some of the great things happening at Charlotte.

It’s always great to have UNC System President Peter Hans on campus. He visited Charlotte on Thursday and Friday to meet with students and faculty, and to see firsthand some of the innovative ways we are powering our state through technology and applied research.
