Department of Emergency Services has received notification that AT&T customers and other service providers are experiencing a regional cellular outage.

For Charles County residents, this may impact your ability to text 9-1-1. Mobile phones can still call 9-1-1.

Due to impending inclement weather, the Charles County Landfill, all Recycling Centers, and the Piney Church Road Mulch Facility will open at 9:00am on Saturday, February 17.

Due to intermittent plumbing issues, the Nanjemoy Community Center will have limited operations this morning, Feb. 14, 2024. Participants are encouraged to delay arrival until the plumbing has been fully restored.

The Maryland Flag has been lowered to half-staff for Navy Special Warfare Operator First Class Christopher J. Chambers. Navy Special Warfare Operator First Class Christopher Chambers was a Maryland native that died in the line of duty on January 11, 2024.
