Continuous Glucose Uptake across NHS England
Access across #T1D population NHS England ? 95%
Guess what?
When you get everyone access?
You don't have 'deprivation gaps' or 'hard to reach groups'
(Ref: Inequality ratio of 1 =no deprivation gaps across quintiles)

Our CEO ColetteMarshall says it as it is. We haven't seen a sudden break down in people's will power over the last 30-50 years. But our food environment has changed beyond all recognition, with catastrophic consequences. This needs to be tackled.
How cool is this? Training for the local VCSE to understand the potential of AI for their work. And lots of other important training too- bid writing, suicide prevention. Good stuff as ever from the Compass Wellbeing team.

Our Diabetes UK CEO ColetteMarshall sets out how we need to rethink the cost of obesity. It’s not about blaming people living with it- it’s about demanding action from those who can best make a difference: government and industry. theguardian.com/society/2023/d…
By the People, With the People is written by health experts Paul Corrigan CBE CBE and Dr Charlotte Augst. It recommends a series of changes that will shift the NHS from a service that does things for people to one that works in partnership with them.
These include:
.Paul Corrigan CBE and I think through, for The Fabian Society, what needs to change for the NHS to make real its stated ambition to work in partnership with people and communities.
And if you want support and leadership when you have a bunch of section drafts that don’t hang together at all, Kate Jopling is your woman…
It was fun and instructive to collaborate with Paul Corrigan CBE on this. He is both practical and ambitious in his thinking. A winning combination! We tried to steer a course between micro changes and vague declarations that we need ‘transformation’. Tell us what you think.
If culture is 'the way we do things round here' then we change the culture by changing the way we do things. Charlotte Augst & Paul Corrigan CBE describe a lot of changes which could be made to change the culture of the NHS. All doable, because somewhere each one is being done.
Having #T1D is like having a puppy or toddler. No matter how much planning you do (the extra 180 decisions) it will do its own thing in the end. Having tech can remove some of those decision. It can reduce the hypos & hypers. #DiabetesTechCantWait #DiabetesChat #GBDoc
