Glad to share our study of wildfire smoke and indoor surfaces in ES&T:

We find that PAHs in smoke accumulate on indoor materials and persist for weeks at possible health-relevant levels. Good news - cleaning activities appear effective at removing PAHs.

I am recruiting a PhD student for a project on transport of Wildfire Particulate Matter Indoors and Practical Mitigation Methods.

So excited to receive this grant from the Keck Foundation with Megan Willis and Lauren Garofalo CSU Department of Chemistry ! We will be studying the fate of chemicals indoors using stable isotopes with the aim of developing #indoorchem models!

I’ll be looking for postdocs and programmers to build my new ETH Zurich atmospheric chemistry group starting in spring 2024. If you have atmospheric chemistry modeling experience and are interested in working on fun science in beautiful Zurich, please get in touch!
