This evening we welcomed a truly inspiring speaker, Figen Murray. She spoke movingly about her campaign for MARTYN'S LAW, in memory of her son, who died in the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. Kate was awarded the trophy for the most competition points.

NFWI stepping into the ever increasingly popular world of podcasts. We are trying something new and a great way to communicate to members and WI friends on the more in depth topics. It gives the opportunity to hear from members lived experiences . Definitely worth a listen.

The 14th Wirral Open Studio Tour has a member of The Sapphires WI in it. Charmaine Maw Glass Artist works both warm and cold glass. Her work is often organic and an environmental theme. She prefers large-scale and to exhibit outdoors if possible. Website charmainemaw.co.uk

Well what a treat we had at our meeting last night. Davina Woods gave us a fabulous talk about how the quilt, by the Phoenix sewers was created & some of the history of the #Suffragettemovement . A highly recommended visitor to any group but especially the #WI .
