'Help us to get a healthy lifestyle': children in #TheBigAmbition are acutely aware of the importance of good healthcare. Their generation is uniquely health conscious - yet too many face barriers to services or lengthy delays in care. childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/the-big-a…
Family is central to all of our lives, particularly children.
#TheBigAmbition results show that most children say their families provide for them, that they enjoy their time together and that they give them the stable and loving start they need.

ICYMI: 'Listen to the children more' - great piece from First News showcasing #TheBigAmbition results & the views of 1m children. Plus, the inspiring Children's Commissioner for England ambassadors on their hopes for the future. We'll keep working with First News to share our findings far & wide.
What was clear from #TheBigAmbition was that children value their education. Many love their teachers but they want schools to focus on a stronger pastoral support offer. I will use these findings to inform my vision for the school system.

Too often because children can't vote they feel their voices aren't heard, so for The Big Ambition I wanted to know what they thought ahead of the next election.
My Ambassadors and I spoke to FYI - Sky Kids Weekly News Show, who joined the launch of #TheBigAmbition last week.

In #thebigambition , 83% of children said they spend quality time with family. This Easter, we’re reflecting on the steps set out by @childrenscomm so every child, no matter their background, experiences loving relationships supporting them into adulthood. ow.ly/PUsv50R4tWf
This coming year will be critical for children's rights, with an election, a new government & a new mandate to improve children's lives. I've set out my priorities for the upcoming year - and my final three years as Children's Commissioner for England childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/business-…
It was clear from #TheBigAmbition that want change - but only 1 in 5 feel like those in power listen.
That's why I'm calling on politicians to commit to writing a children's manifesto and engaging with children ahead of the election. itv.com/news/2024-03-2…
It was incredible to be joined by so many amazing colleagues for the launch of #TheBigAmbition on Monday.
It's a privilege to amplify these voices of children and young people as we head into an election year.
They might not get a vote - but I want them to have a voice.
Another great roundtable with my Ambassadors, senior civil servants and minister Damian Hinds discussing all things from English and maths to 18, curriculum reform and what options children want to see post-16.
This is a generation of children have faced world events like no generation before them but rather than becoming pessimistic, they told #TheBigAmbition they want politicians and policymakers to listen to their views - as they're the voters of tomorrow. bbc.co.uk/newsround/6865…
Over my 3 years as Children's Commissioner for England, we've gathered nearly a million responses from children on how they feel. Their story, shared for the first time in Parliament yesterday, sets out what needs to change to make childhood the best it can be. #TheBigAmbition childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/the-big-a…
What a fantastic afternoon with my young Ambassadors, talented musicians, children from all over the country, politicians & groups dedicated to improving children's lives. Children's voices are so powerful - we owe it to them to listen and act. #TheBigAmbition
Children are passionate about making change - but only 1 in 5 feel like those in power listen. I'm taking their voices, views & experiences to politicians & policymakers with this challenge: listen, and act on what children are telling you. #TheBigAmbition childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/one-milli…
#TheBigAmbition found only one in five children and young people feel listened to by the adults in power. Without the proper structures in place to consult with them, it means when it comes to elections, manifestos their opinions are too easily ignored.
