Some good news on tax! We welcome Labour’s plans to crack down on tax dodging, closing loopholes and investing more in HMRC. Billions of pounds in uncollected taxes each year is billions lost to our crumbling public services.

As the holy month of Ramadan ends and Muslims look forward to Eid al-Fitr, I want to take the opportunity to say Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating.

I hope this day is a chance to gather together, spend time with family and honour the end of a blessed month.
