Twitter Web App : Nearly there, but still a few hundred quid short of the target. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, or contacted me with advice and suggestions. And many thanks to Chris Burn for doing an excellent job of reporting such a complicated issue. yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/politics/…

Twitter Web App : Thousands of pounds has been raised to help a survivor of human trafficking in Yorkshire work towards her dream of becoming a nurse. But her story highlights the challenges confirmed victims of modern slavery face in pursuing an education in the UK:

Twitter Web App : Been to a couple since they reopened and massive efforts have been made to have social distancing in place, etc. Suspect many will never reopen now.

Twitter Web App : Obviously lots to take in with the Tier 3 announcement for South Yorkshire today but really disappointed by the indefinite closure at soft play centres. They are a lifesaver for parents of young kids on cold, wet and dark days (i.e. basically every day for the next six months).

Twitter Web App : Council Leader Julie Dore has made a full unreserved apology at Cabinet following the Ombudsman report into the tree controversy last week
She says she accepts the "controversy and concern" the issue has caused and the dispute should not have got to the point it did

Twitter Web App : All kicking off in meeting with Health Minister & S.Yorks MPs on restrictions. First told constituents can’t go on holiday in UK, but can go abroad - then changed their minds & said you can’t leave your area, now decided they’ll get back to us on it?! Why hasn’t this been sorted?

Twitter Web App : The latest COVID-19 persons tested positive data for South Yorkshire (Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield).

Due to move into Tier 3 from Saturday.

Sheffields 7-day rolling average has declined 18% since it peaked on the 7th October.

Twitter Web App : We come under Wakefield Council area (on the very edge) but have a South Yorkshire postcode. Still remaining in tier 2 as things stand as we're therefore West Yorkshire but understandably a lot of residents on our community Facebook group feeling very confused...

Twitter Web App : Important note - There is no defined way an area can get out of Tier 3. It will be reviewed - but there's no firm target for where SY needs to be to move back down to Tier 2.

Twitter Web App : Today is a dark day for so many amazing pubs and other places across South Yorkshire. There’s a hard winter ahead but I hope we come back stronger.
