What’s the bet Woodside tells its own shareholders to just go fuck themselves and carries on with its plans to rob us of our future? Statements from these psychopaths need to come with a public health warning.

Internal docs that Defence tried to keep secret concede the high risks involved in trying to grow a civilian nuclear workforce to take care of naval reactors. But is a full steam ahead project where risk is ignored - after all, who needs reactors looked after? 1/2

To put Labor's $50 billion of extra military spending in perspective. The Gov could fully fund the Greens plan to establish a public developer to build 610k good quality homes to be sold and rented at below market prices - and we'd still have $22 billion left over!

If you’re going to throw money at social cohesion then maybe toss it in the direction of reducing inequality. Generational theft seems to be driving a reasonable chunk of crankiness. Stop opening up coal mines, help the kiddies afford some shelter. Might have another coffee.

The government has spent $2.4 million on prosecuting David McBride for revealing war crimes.

This should have been spent on holding war criminals to account, not criminalising whistleblowers.

1/ Spin, spin, spin.

Defence Minister Marles is about to announce Labor’s new national Defence strategy today.

He has nowhere to go with a budget that still includes $368b for nuclear subs, $45b for (very) future frigates and new Labor follies like $5b on attack helicopters.
