The contractor Northwest Georgia Paving will begin resurfacing Redmond Road. Work will begin at the North Rome Connector/ Redmond Circle Road and travel Easterly towards Martha Berry Blvd (Hwy 27).

Please avoid the area of Turner McCall Blvd at O'Neal Street and near E 8th Street (by Bojangles) & 2nd Avenue. 2nd Avenue and side streets between Turner McCall which are also now backed up. There was a head-on collision and overturned tanker truck.

Last night the Rome City Commission recognized Peace Officers Memorial Day honoring all who have died in the line of duty. City Clerk, Joe Smith was also recognized for Professional Municipal Clerks Week.
