Sound the Alarm: McAllen Fire w/American Red Cross, various volunteers & McAllen PD helped install 76 smoke alarms in neighborhoods identified to have a high fire occurrence.

Fire safety & hazard preparedness was provided to 128 members of the community.

Road Closure for Bales Rd. Quinta Mazatlan Drainage Improvements:

Roadway will be closed to all through traffic between
S 10th St. and S 6th Ln., beginning on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, and expected to be completed by Friday, April 5, 2024.

The McAllen Fire Dept conducted a demo for students from all McAllen ISD high schools studying for an EMT certification through Achieve Early College HS.

Students observed use of 'jaws of life' to cut through a car & assisted in transporting a simulated victim from a scene.

The Rio Grande Valley Texas Anti-Gang Grant awards $2.4 Million to local law enforcement agencies.

Keys to APC and Specialty Units were handed off to Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, Mission Police Department, Edinburg Police Department and Weslaco Police Department.
