A new initiative is drastically reducing the number of days patients need to stay in hospital after joint surgery.

Graham, 75, returned home just one day after receiving a full hip replacement.

A brand new state-of-the-art theatre complex has opened at Royal Bolton Hospital.

The new £19.6m Elective Care Centre has four theatres which will be used to help with waiting lists.

Approximately 5,000 patients will be helped in the new theatres each year.
