Today the CNCF has approved Cloud Events as a graduated project! Thanks to everyone who helped with the project's development over the years.

Between the specs and the SDKs, we couldn't have done it without your help!

We merged a huge PR into the 'Registry' spec in the Cloud Events repo yesterday. While working on it, we found that we better break the spec up into four parts and that its utility goes far beyond CloudEvents, so this will soon move to its own repo.

Golioth makes it really easy to ship data up to the Cloud, where you can do more interesting things than merely interacting with the device out in the field! ☁️

But what happens when the data gets to the Cloud? Find out here: buff.ly/3Mwb0lw

Got a question today why Cloud Events doesn’t have (nor recommends) an „Idempotency Key“ extension for event dedupe.

Answer: it’s redundant as the SPEC requires the combination of event ID and source to be unique, ie an implicit idempotency key 💡
