Have the courage to talk to your coach privately about lack of playing time? Be sure it's 'What more can I do to help the team' as opposed to 'I want more playing time'. Also, don't get sucked in with the guys complaining at the end of the bench. It's a bad look! NCSA Baseball
You don't need to go to baseball showcases or camps to get verified numbers. If you can get video of a 60 on a football field, ball off a tee and thrown ball with radar gun in view of the camera the video won't lie. NCSA Baseball
Schools in the same conference usually recruit on similar timelines and are very similar in a lot of ways. If you are interested in one school that has a spot available, jump into their conference as well. Great way to increase the # of schools you can attack! NCSA Baseball
One of my favorite clients told me his old man was worried he might be selling himself short by going D3. On the flip side, maybe looking at a higher level, not being valued, and not playing would sell himself short of a great college experience. #perspective @NCSA NCSA Baseball
For '28/'27 and even '26 grads there is almost zero reason to attend a showcase this summer UNLESS your parents are rich or you just want to see what it is like. Nobody is looking at 28/27 and not many are getting after '26. Go to a local camp and get instruction! NCSA Baseball
There are so few reasons to voluntarily stop playing multiple sports in high school. You only get one crack to participate in high school sports. If you love/like doing it, keep doing it! Tired of kids being told they need to play 1 sport. NCSA Baseball
The college transfer play fails more often than people think. Re-evaluate your situation and get a perspective from somebody outside your immediate circle. You know your current situation well but have no idea what the new situation holds, it could be worse! NCSA Baseball NCSA College Recruiting
Coaches are agnostic to the 'big 3' baseball companies (PG, PBR, BF). They don't just search one, they will search for you in all three. In other words, you don't necessarily need to spend the money thinking you need to be in all three of their databases. NCSA Baseball
If your #1 goal is to go to college and try to play early and often, D1 is NOT the route for you. Look at any D1 in the country and see how they spread out their ABs or IP. Historical data is not in your favor. NCSA Baseball
Prospective college athletes who think that staying closer to home will allow them to go home more often during down periods in the college year have obviously never spoken to a college athlete before. It ain't happening! NCSA Baseball @NCSA
For those guys being modest and not wanting to post much on Twitter, please know it is appreciated. Also know that utilizing Twitter to gently promote yourself is almost necessary to have success in the recruiting process. Post video, blurb about the team instead NCSA Baseball
Time is precious for coaches. Keep emails short and to the point. If they have to scroll through an email, they probably are not reading it. One tip....rather than adding your entire summer schedule to your email, include it as a Word document. @NCSA NCSA Baseball
