D2/D3 ball has such a lesser than stigma that so many HS athletes and portal guys won't even entertain D2/D3 ball. As the spring recruiting season heats up here soon, I wanted to spit some facts as not just a HS coach but a dad of a guy who went D2 and dropped down to D3 (cont.)

Some networking advice that works well in recruiting too

Go narrow & go long

Meaning you can't entertain 10+ programs and coaches... there's not enough time to text, call, and visit all those places

Build deep relationships with a small number of people and play the long game

Cliche tweet… but

What athletes think they need:

- Foam rollers
- Massage guns
- Cryotherapy
- More stretching
- Recovery work

What they actually need:

- To eat breakfast
- Drink more water
- Sleep enough
- Take off days
- Not play sport year round
- Strength train in-season

If you are getting invites to college camps and visits, the best way to not only prioritize them but also have a conversation with a coach is to simply ask:

“Would love to come to your camp just want to see where I stand on your board so I can plan my schedule”

I get these questions every single day.

“How do I get on your recruiting board?”

“How can I get an offer.”

1️⃣ Have Great Grades
We need a 3.0 GPA.

2️⃣ Have great film.

3️⃣ Prove your athletic ability at camp.
