I gotta stop asking God for a little more time in the morning. It never fails that when I do it’s always a few minutes before my alarm goes off.

Florida police officers murdered a 23 year old airman Roger Fortson on May 3rd. They entered his apartment—the wrong apartment—and shot him to death while he was on facetime with a friend. The officer was only placed on administrative leave.

Philippians 2:6-8 reminds us of exactly that and 'One Like Us' is my response to the God of the Universe humbling Himself and making Himself one like us to be reunited with us.

He shed his heavenly skin and put on human skin, He stepped down into our darkness, humbling himself in order to create a way for us to be with Him forever. No more distance, no more tension in our relationship with Him.

God feels the same way about us. He longs to be close to us, and He always has. In fact, He longs for this closeness so much that He came down from His perfect home and made Himself like us.

Please say a prayer for those who are being laid off unexpectedly. May the Lord provide them with peace, comfort and strength and this time. 😞

Wherever you are right now, bow your head and heart and recite these words, quietly meditating upon them: 'God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which you loved me, even when I was dead in my trespasses, you made me alive together with Christ.'

Really plant this seed of truth in your heart and believe it.

Pause for a moment and consider the mercy that God has showered upon you.

No matter who shuns or rejects us in this world, we are forever in Christ.

We are God's, chosen before time to be His, positioned in Christ, hidden in Him, never to be cast out or forsaken, and seated at the best table.

The enemy, the devil, works so hard to make us feel rejected, unacceptable, and outcast because he is!

Ephesians 2:4-5 'But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.'

Ephesians 2:4-7. Why does God save us according to verse 4? We were dead, but now where are we seated according to verse 6?
