There are some things in life I would like to be able to understand, but I really cannot. Like fuzzy logic. I swear I spent hours listening to a Physics & Philosophy friend on the topic at Uni. Reading about it again now. On a scale of 0-1, how likely am I to ever get it? 🤣

It is right and proper that we are discussing exclusions at primary as a serious concern. Inclusion is a vital & at times difficult business.
But people, we really need more talk about going further up river to prevent those children and families from falling in, in the 1st place

P.S. You shd get PBLJ10 any day now. 🪲

Reading WWI poetry for my Poetry School MA. I'd feel better if I thought humanity had learned anything since. Owen uses the word 'children' deliberately. Those dying in the trenches are just out of childhood. Actual children are targeted in Gaza and Ukraine. FFS.

I’m so arsey. Feeling absolutely determined this a.m. to get back to exercising & get thro/get to stay on this bloody V pleased with myself for my current ‘get back on the horse’ speed. Tho no chance of actually getting on a horse. Think feeling feelings 1st helps.

Now that is weird. Who knew sitting down to write about music in Sheffield would bring work on circulation? William Harvey eat your ❤️out. I’m enjoying experimenting with less as a single entity & more as possibilities. Make a few. See what happens.

'adults and dogs, no kids'
'kids and adults, no dogs'
implies the existence of a third, secret category, 'children and dogs, no adults' where roving bands of children war with feral hounds in a grim circus of tooth and claw, knowledge of the human speech all but lost to them

At the side effects consultation with Rheumatology today, words happened which seemed to be ‘tender, but no signoritas’ ❌💃💃💃⁉️ Always good

What’s happening this a.m. Chez Schnauzer? Max & Jack responding well to Ibiza Summer Mix Best Of Tropical Deep House as we all hide in bed from workmen trimming street trees. Always does the chillaxing trick. But what effect will it have on today’s writing?

This is a deeply thoughtful, knowledgeable thread about R&J starting with:

‘O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope’s ear;’

clare does a great job, and I'd like to add a bit more!🧵

Done quiiite a lot of sticking my head above the parapet this week. ‘Wonder if it’s ok to…’ stuff. Poetishly, socially, advocatishly. Do I feel phantom bullets might have whistled past my head? Yes. Have people been kind, responsive & practical? Yes.❤️Is my head still on? Yes.😀

Been uncomfortable 4 days about how to start a project I’ve been mulling for ages. How to make it work right 4 people without narrowing/gatekeeping. How to make it work 4 me too. And lo… out of the creative discomfort come feasible ideas eventually. works🧎!

One thing I hope for in poetry is the acceptance of Zoom readings. Without them eg last night’s wonderful Kathryn Bevis launch couldn’t have happened. But it did, also with the help of her poet friends. We can be there for each other, more fun than shitey divisiveness, try it.

Hi Dr Jo Clement reflecting on the reactivity you’ve had how about we reclaim it as ‘Congrats Butcher's Dog Publishing on an innovation to keep publishing by adding value to the mag by funding it & value to submitters who can pay to fine-tune their judgment if they want to’👍 Can’t stand still🤷‍♀️
