I acknowledge and appreciate that traffic planning at junctions is difficult but we can’t expect to remove or reduce in size so many left-turning slip roads without massive traffic implications.

Honoured to attend today’s State commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising.

On this day in 2004, twenty years ago, as Health Minister I introduced a ban on smoking in indoor public places, including pubs, restaurants and other workplaces.

Ireland was the first country in the world to introduce such a ban, and some 74 countries have followed our example.

A planned technical change by the ECB that comes in to effect in September (separate to any monetary policy decision they may make) is good news for tens of thousands of tracker mortgage customers in Ireland 👇
