To the memory of Frank DiSalvo: he was the one who arranged for the 🇯🇵🇩🇪🇺🇸 nitride project in 1997, then funded by NEDO. We were so young! And it helped to catalyze the careers of many (!) young researchers from our groups & improve intl. cooperation, Frank's true legacy.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Frank DiSalvo. A stellar scientist, advocate for materials chemistry, and an irreplaceable friend. His legacy in #MaterialsScience and mentorship will live on.

My best thoughts to Frank DiSalvo's family and friends. Very nice souvenirs from my stay in his group Cornell University and from his visits Nantes Université (IMN) in France in the Pr Raymond Brec's team. A great scientist and a very nice person. RIP
