Every student deserves a world-class education, and Minnesota is making it possible by putting students at the center of education. This year, MN funded programs and resources that ensure every student has the support they need to succeed

Education also made huge investments in special education this year. Over the next two years, MN is investing $662.8 million into special ed, allocating specific dollars to special education will shrink the cross-subsidy by 50% and open up money for schools on the general formula

After hearing testimony from Minnesotans who lost loved ones to substance abuse, some starting in high school, it is important our schools have the resources in place in case of emergency.

This life-saving legislation is something to be proud of.

Basic hygiene products should be free at school. That’s why students fought for equity in our schools. Like paper towels and soap, menstrual products will now be free for students in MN. For community members who need it most, this will make a difference in quality of education
