This year’s Midwest Lineman’s Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off competitors are bringing the heat with mouthwatering BBQ — including Duke Energy Ind. Pres. Stan Pinegar. They fired up their smokers yesterday & spent the night at our Plainfield headquarters in hopes of bringing home the gold.

These teams are competing in the hurt-man rescue event, which simulates having to rescue an injured teammate. Competitors race to the top of the pole, tie knots around a rope that’s secured to their teammate’s waist, then cut the safety strap and lower him to the ground.
