It is right that NHS England has acted on our call and reversed their decision to stop NHS staff from accessing vital mental health support. We now need assurance that the review will lead to equal or better provision of mental health support in the future bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…
Message from government; ‘save money now on non essentials’, NHS England response ‘easy, cancel staff mental health services without a replacement, they’re expendable’. Tells you everything you need to know about the NHS as an employer. Crazy in such a hard pressed service.
Reverse this ill considered decision Chris Hopson Burnt out, traumatised doctors struggling with mental health problems caused by their workplace need robust support away from their workplace. Removal of this resource could be career ending for doctors who need it.
