I told Jonathan Gullis his first job as Deputy Chairman was to top up the soap dispensers.

Today I will mostly be pretending that inflation being 3.4% means that prices are falling and people have more money.

Anyone else get the feeling that all these price increases, energy, fuel insurance, water, council tax, broadband etc etc will never go back down to pre cost of living crisis levels? That we will just be expected to suck all this up forever now.

Remember arguing with ambo control as officers tried to safely subdue a chap suffering from this, several frustrated calls later, they waited till he was on the point of stopping breathing to deploy. The concern in the bobbies voices as he deteriorated is etched on my brain.
