Gonna do some chip butty tweets. For non UK people, a chip butty is a bap (roll, like a hamburger bun) with some chips (french fries) and a kind of watery fake mayonnaise they call (ugh) 'salad cream.' This is their sandwich, they eat this. Okay ready?

• The Hosemobile - What Can & Can't Go On (1999)
• A Whisper In The Noise - Through The Ides Of March (2002)

R.I.P. Steve Albini, interviewed him in 2005 and even though he was preparing for a gig he was as generous an interviewee as one could imagine. And alongside Shellac/Big Black, you could make a top 50 albums from records he’s engineered, from Arise Therefore to Riderless Horse.

I think this thread, and the way he behaved and treated people in later years, was one of the most important things anyone who’s meant anything to me ever did. it’s an instruction manual on how to grow out of gen x nihilism and a reflection on the damage it did
