At PMQs, when I pressed the Prime Minister, he stood up for Liz Truss and argued she made progress on trade deals. In truth, she sold us out - and crashed the economy!

Cambridge doesn't want to be the 'next Silicon Valley' - it's special enough that it doesn't need to be 'another somewhere else'.

I'm in schools in Cambridge virtually every week, and it's abundantly clear that SEND pupils need more support from the Government. Proper staffing and finance are needed!

Water scarcity needs to be tackled in Cambridge to allow much needed housing now, but future planning needs to be done in a way that keeps Cambridge special - in the documents presented so far, I'm not convinced the Government has handled these issues effectively.

The budget was a damp squib, still leaving everyone worse off. And the Government's so-called “Case for Cambridge’ is vacuous fluff. There is a very strong case for Cambridge - but this isn’t it. What we need are real resources to tackle longstanding infrastructure issues.

Extra delays, costs, and bureaucratic nightmares - the Government needs to sort out imports.

Food standards are key to public health, and yet the Government’s cuts have put that at risk. They need to stop ignoring public health officials!

It makes sense that Cambridge’s future should be decided by Cambridge. Local people know what’s best – they should be given the power to decide what happens to their area!

Had a very positive meeting with Cambridge SU. Great to hear from Fergus Cambridge SU and Vareesh Cambridge SU about the concerns and hopes of students.

Last Friday I had a very interesting visit to Jagex to see the work they are doing and their commitment to safeguarding their customers as well as some very interesting looking future developments. Great to see a business starting in Cambridge and having done so well!

Hedgerows are natural marvels that play a key role in the fight against climate change. The Government urgently needs to act to ensure they are properly protected.

Imports for plant and animal health products have become a complex nightmare – a huge shame, I'm sure, for the contented Conservative Party hoping to send each other red roses for Valentine’s Day!

Less than half of homes in England meet the recommended EPC rating 'C'. Labour has a plan to insulate nineteen million homes across the country - it's disappointing the Government doesn't match that ambition.

International students provide vital income for our universities and the research and development sector. The plummet in applications as a result of government policy risks serious unintended consequences - the Government clearly have no plan!
