When teachers asked me a question in front of the class I went mute. Even if knew the answer I couldn't speak. I wasn't the only one, a few of us did the same. You'd think they'd stop asking, but they didn't. Every lesson I was 'cold called'.

Sounds like this family have complex needs. Be sure that without the support they currently receive, the cost to the tax payer would be even higher. FYI kids can't claim PIP. Also, council houses aren't free. No one gets a free car, or cleaner or PA. I wish.

If the PIP vouchers become reality my husband's place of work will lose employees. Many use their PIP to enable them to work. It's a social enterprise. 50% of the workforce is disabled.

Food should absolutely not be used as reward or punishment. A kid having a bad day, for whatever reason, should not have to worry about their lunch!

A cover teacher today was giving out the D2's like sweeties! And was really proud to tell the kids 'I'm getting paid for this'. (A D2 is a detention.) It ruined English and science for my youngest today, and she was really improving recently.

Got the boys mock results today. I'm very proud of him. (His English teacher needs a kick up the arse though). He got 5-5 in science! Which is amazing cos last year he was predicted a 2-3
