The Scandinavians use electric boilers with district heating, which I find astonishing when big electric heat pumps can have a COP of 300%. I guess in their freezing continental winters they don't have access to our unfrozen water and cold but not icy soggy air as heat sources.

UK electricity networks should be regulated to encourage adoption of low carbon technologies, heat pumps, PV, batteries, EV chargers etc. via guaranteed service standards and performance incentives. Performance should also be the same across country.
