A group of teachers & DPS staff attended the 1st meeting of the District's Aspiring Leaders Academy!

In partnership with University of Dayton, staff will be acquiring their principal's license & working with DPS administrators to prepare for future principal roles within DPS.

All-City Arts Fest will be at Riverscape Metropark on Saturday, May 4th from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Meadowdate CTC senior, Waly Ndiaye, has officially finished refurbishing one of the Robotics robots! 🤖

Waly degreased, wire-wheeled, and sanded the robot before painting it black. He will be installing new graphics and the new Miller Continuum 350 weld package!

First in the STATE for a Ponitz Student! 🥇

Zurnaisa Tolliver, a Dental Assisting student at Ponitz, took 1st place in the state for Interviewing Skills at the HOSA conference! Zurinaisa will compete at the International Leadership Conference.

Two Meadowdale students are heading to an International Competition! 🏅

De'Aye Moore and Lyric Collins, Biomedical Science students at Meadowdale, took 3rd in Creative Problem Solving at HOSA. This secures them a spot to compete at the International Leadership Conference!

Before the Eclipse, students in Mrs. Carpetner's class at the International School made headbands to prepare! ☀️🌑

Students were sent home with glasses & pinhole cameras to help view it. After the Eclipse, they shared their favorite part & made their own paper eclipse!

TOMORROW - DPS is hosting a Wellness Fair for students and families at the School-Based Health Center! 🩺

This will be held from 8 AM to 2 PM at Roosevelt Elementary on Saturday, April 20th. All participants have the opportunity to win raffles and other giveaways!

The Dayton Public School District is excited to announce that there will no longer be a four-quadrant transportation system for the 2024-2025 school year. Instead, the District will be utilizing north and south transportation zones.
