“Ford govt wants you to think that everyone who works in is overpaid. Ave wage of ed workers is $45,000 a yr & many rely on a 2nd or 3rd job just to get by.

Ed workers are frontline workers. They deserve respect + fair wage.” - osstfkaren

Finished my Masters of Education and after I sent in my final paper, something came over me and I wept. It was a bittersweet feeling of happiness, mixed with a stress release, and profound sadness that's it's over. I love school, whatever will I do with my newfound freedom?

A child's brain architecture changes as a result of trauma. These changes jeopardize children's ability to direct their attention, regulate their emotions and behaviour, and form positive relationships with teachers (Craig, 2006).Does your pedagogy include trauma informed care?

The Listen, Protect, Connect (LPC) informed model is an effective way to validate the feelings of students who experienced trauma or have PTSD. It offers a model to help educators & parents respond to a student when they are triggered.
