Today in a department meeting, our chair tried to explain (with a straight face) that ExCel stands for 'experiential learning,' & it is the new cool thing. (He had to. This was not his idea.)

Worth noting: nobody could explain to him how or why 'ExCel' is an acronym for this.

Asked my students to fill out (anonymous) rankings of our Biomedical Ethics course material.

Forgot to include my favorite thing about this paper. I took a lot of time off from research when my kids were young.

Writing this helped me to see that my 'time off' was philosophically beneficial; caregiving has made me a better philosopher.

I think that's cool.
