On this Easter Day when many of us are spending time with friends & family, there are countless others living under the clouds of war in Ukraine/Gaza/Sudan & elsewhere. Ultimately it is only through a political process that peace can supplant violence & hope triumph over despair

On this 2nd anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in the cold wind of the ending winter, I express my solidarity with the people of that great nation and send my good wishes to the friends that I made on my trip to Kyiv in November 2023.

Marking Holocaust Memorial Day: Those who forget history are in danger of repeating it. With ten million candles this evening, we remember and hope in the same moment.

Thank you, I was only his 'uncle' and took him out for some additional walks he always was happy to have, I had some trouble shifting him off my lap and explaining he is not lap dog sized, but he was lovely

Harvey was my dancing instructor, the boy had all the moves, he also knew in which pocket I kept treats, if he saw a cat, he caught it and pinned it down, then gave it a good cleaning, such a big and powerful dog, but without any aggression. RIP

I loved him, for 8 years he was my friend, I wish I could have said goodbye, his parents said they can't return the medication to be given to people who's dog might suffer from the same problem as there are legal issues, they have meds worth 1K and offered it to animal charities

With friends as I left Kyiv main railway station for Lviv. There was more bombing of Kyiv last evening by Russian drones. I will be back soon to support medical education and training for my colleagues there

I took the 1309 from Kyiv to Lviv and it was great to share the journey with a fellow doctor from Lviv and a young family, I loved the cartoons the kids were watching.
The blue building was hit by a missile a few months ago.

Good to be able to meet colleagues at the Cardiometabolic Conference in Kyiv Friday 17Nov, organised by my colleague Dr Moris Mankovsky, President of the Ukraine Diabetes Association. They are delivering world class cardiology/diabetes care here in spite of all the challenges

This afternoon I took this photo in Kyiv. It was only 2 nights ago that the city was under attack again. People carry on their lives in spite of the ongoing threat and the daily conflict in the east of the country. We have to continue our support, this is far from over!
