The GMC have got this completely wrong. They are the ones needing to 'develop insight', not Dr Benn, who is a grounded and rational person acting according to her conscience. Pls read Dr Benn's full statement, it is brimming with moral clarity.

Actually unbelievable. First imprisonment for holding a sign, now professional misconduct despite exemplifying good medical practice 🤯Brave and principled doctors like Sarah Benn should be celebrated for taking action to protect public health.

Health regulators, professional bodies and unions need to clean up their finances. How can they justify not having divested directly and indirectly from fossil fuels at this stage in climate breakdown?

I am heartsick & weary with GPhC FOI response regarding ffuel investments. These are still not excluded under the GPhC's *ethical investment policy*, despite global scientific consensus that ffuels will kill billions, & daily news of suffering, caused now, from their use.
