@DrIbram X. Kendi’s advice to children: Learn the skill of talking about race.

I wonder if Dr. Kendi has that skill.

If so, we need to teach children to mind-read people’s true racist thoughts, to misrepresent others' words, and to smear others as racists & wannabe enslavers...

Annoyingserf @DrIbram I often wonder if every person that pays for a blue check and claims to have served in the military has a pointy white hood in their closet.

1. You are a scholar. @DrIbram
2. You tell children, “Talking about race is one of the most important skills you can learn.” [SFK,p3]
3. Somebody challenges your ideas about race.
4. You don’t talk to them.
5. You smear them– as a person who wants to segregate, exploit & enslave.

@DrIbram I recall though feeling grateful that my descendants were still in Ireland during the days of slavery. I felt relief. But I was not sure how it felt for kids whose descendants were in U.S. in the days of slavery, so it’s good to know this research. But feeling guilt is ok too.🧭

@DrIbram I think about James Luther Adams. He reminded the military officers that “similar attitudes” that existed in Nazi Germany exist in America, “not only among lunatic and subversive groups but also among respectable Americans in the army of democracy.”
