It's great to see Labour-run Wandsworth Council introducing a landlord licensing pilot in Tooting and Furzedown.
This will help to ensure a fair deal for private renters in the local area and bring Wandsworth in line with other London boroughs.

Afternoon there's a surprise, the UK government has ignored mental health with the mental health bill not included in the #KingsSpeech , it’s now highly unlikely the Mental Health Act will be reformed until further notice I am not a politician but constantly over the years I have…
It’s hugely disappointing that the #MentalHealthBill was not included in the #KingsSpeech today.
Reform of the Mental Health Act is overdue.
Here’s why it’s vital & what we want to see to help break the link between money & mental health problems. 👇 moneyandmentalhealth.org/mental-health-…
Abandoning the #MentalHealthAct reforms is a government breach of public trust.
We've responded in full to today's #KingsSpeech : centreformentalhealth.org.uk/news/item/aban… 👇🧵
It is shocking that today's #KingsSpeech didn't include the mental health bill to reform the outdated Mental Health Act. Too many people with bipolar being criminalised and traumatised when they're sectioned. Rishi Sunak we urgently need an improved pathway to hospital admission.
🚨 We are extremely disappointed that the government has failed to honour its commitment to reform the Mental Health Act.
We won't stop until this outdated act is changed to better support people who are detained under it 👉 bit.ly/3MvHA8t
#KingSpeech
We are deeply disappointed that the #KingsSpeech contained no commitment to introduce a Mental Health Bill to reform the Mental Health Act.
This is yet another mental health commitment abandoned by gov. Read our joint response with 56 of our members ⬇️

Yet again, the UK government has failed to prioritise mental health. And broken its promise to thousands of people.
With the mental health bill not included in the #KingsSpeech , it’s now highly unlikely the Mental Health Act will be reformed before the next general election. 1/7
