Can't quite believe Sunak would hold an election in Dec/Jan. You'd be pilloried for needlessly ruining Christmas. You'd be conducting it in the depths of a winter NHS crisis. And you'd be asking a predominantly older volunteer force to campaign for you in the cold and the dark.

Sunak’s interpretation of the election results is unmitigated bollox. The response of his party to lurch even further right is dangerously mad. We voted for progressive parties. Not for his manifesto of hate. Time that was said, rather than this endless ‘plan delivering’ guff.
