Last year, at April's #EESCPlenary , I began my journey as President of the European Economic and Social Committee with determination.

Concerned by Georgia's Parliament passing the 'Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence' in its first reading.

💡 👉3rd panel of European Economic and Social Committee hearing on #WaterPolitics stressed that external institutions must learn how to support indigenous peoples to take on their water-related responsibilities, e.g. to increase presence of non-indigenous water institutions in indigenous peoples' space.

📣💡The second panel of the European Economic and Social Committee #WaterPolitics hearing, focused on the role of #women , reveals that more than 670 million women are projected to live by 2050 in countries with high or critical water stress. This shows the alarming impact on women in these countries.

🌊While discussing #WaterPolitics and on how to empower #Youth , @Maitreyi Koduganti from Water Youth Network, Sleimane Hariri from World Youth Parliament for Water & José Pablo Murillo from SIWI shed some light on and stress the importance of youth involvement in water diplomacy.

📣Following recent media coverage of European Economic and Social Committee recommendations on EU-UK Youth Engagement, the EC proposes to open negotiations to facilitate youth mobility between the 🇪🇺 &🇬🇧. In its role as a champion of youth, the EESC is very proud to play its part in this important development
