Voices member James was evicted from his room again after being triggered from being refused breakfast. James lives with mental & physical disabilities. He last told us he was being taken by police to 51 Division.

As Mayor Olivia Chow betrayed her supporters by giving the cops their full budget request, ESNP, Voices for Unhoused Liberation, and Jews Say no to Genocide disrupted the budget meeting to remind councillors there is no justice with city politics as usual

Samidoun Network Multiple orgs disrupted the Toronto budget hearings with chants saying, “Chow, Tory, same old story. Cops make more, we stay poor.” x.com/ESNParkdale/st…

Three people removed/ asked to leave by secuirty so far, as City of Toronto budget talks are underway. Big focus so far has been the Police budget. This video shows 2 individuals holding signs (I couldn’t see what the signs said).

City Council is voting on a budget that gives more $$ for cops to cause harm. Voices is hosting Love the Way You Lie to say Defund the Police & invest in dignity for poor & unhoused folks!
